I'm so excited because I finally finished the idiot's delight chain that I've been working on in my spare time over the last few weeks.
I have coiled, sawed, and filed 348 jump rings that I made into the chain and finished with one of my signature S-clasps.
This is also my first post from my iPhone.
My mind is abuzz on making this chain again with a mix of sterling and copper.
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers,
Vicki

Vicki, this is GORGEOUS!!!!! Oh my goodness, I am just so amazed at your latest work! I love chain like this and have never attempted to make my own jump rings with a saw...still just cut them with my cutters. I cannot even fathom the time, energy, and patience it must take to cut this many, and then to form the pattern! But what satisfaction when you finished the project! This is a beautiful design, and I love the clasp up front.
ReplyDeleteHope to see you soon - maybe at the cookie swap? We could drive together...
All I can say Cindy is that my sawing skills improved dramatically from the first batch to the last. I had less filing of burs with each batch. I definitely will be buying rings in future as they are so labor intensive when I'd much rather be putting it together. I was so happy when I had the 10 ish inches to just fit around the neck! Would love to catch up soon.
